Double the Fun!!!
Last night I had the treat of photographing two little sweethearts at a local park. The little guy took some time to warm up to me, but by the time we left the hill to head over to the park he was holding my hand (and stealing my heart).
His big sister warmed up to me right away, and like all pretty girls who love having their picture taken she was posing and giggling and sneaking a peek at the images in between takes LOL! She was such a sweet and friendly little girl (she grabbed a piece of my heart too . . . . no worries . . . . . there’s lots to go around:).
So the session was full of laughter and giggles, and a few serious moments too. The light was fabulous and my subjects were beyond darling. . . . . . what more can I say?? It was a pretty perfect night at work:) Now go check out some sweetness:)
Thanks so much Steve and Jennilee for sharing your precious little ones with me!
They are such great kids, and I loved photographing them for you:)

Waiting for a Tiny Miracle
I was contacted by Terry a couple of months ago about doing a maternity session. I was so excited to be asked to photograph such a special time in their lives. Rob and Terry were told they would never conceive! But here they are with a daughter on the way in 4 weeks!!
What an honor to have been asked to capture such a monumental time in their lives! This tiny bundle is already loved so much by her parents and two big brothers!! Terry, pregnancy agrees with you:) You glow!!! I think Rob was glowing a little two:) But we won’t tell him that:) LOL!
Thank you Rob & Terry for the awesome privilege of sharing this beautiful time in your lives!
You are blessed indeed!

Even our skies dance with Saskatchewan Green!
Last night my good friend Terry called me excitedly to tell me the Northern Lights were dancing and putting on a fantastic show. So I rounded up my gear and picked her up so we wouldn’t miss it!
The first stop was out North East of town down a back road, and while the green was pretty it was kinda faint and not very fancy, so after 5 or 6 shots we jumped back in my car and headed out west of town to my parents house. They have a REALLY long drive way. We parked half way down so we wouldn’t be disturbed by the yard lights, and I set up. The show was breath taking. At one point I was jumping up and down hooting and hollering – IT WAS SO AMAZING!!! Shortly after we started we watched a shooting star, and I was totally thrilled to discover that I captured the star trail as it fell!! I was worried that it would be out of the frame, but you’ll see it, it was there! So cool. Another thing I made sure I captured was the big dipper!! If you look for it, it is there in many of the shots. I’ll post one where I have outlined it faintly so you will know what you are looking for:)
So, I hope you enjoy the beauty of these images as much as I did taking them! Terry and I had a great visit, and I got some images I am really pleased with, above all, I felt so energized, like a child watching her Daddy paint on the world’s larges canvas JUST FOR ME! And while he painted. . . . .I photographed Him ♥

Smoke + Clover + Beautiful Young Lady = Images that will make Gramma cry. . . and probably mom too:)
Last night I was invited out to my Sister in Law/BF’s for a most delicious supper:) My family was not around, and my brother was working late, so we had an impromptu girls night (of sorts) and it was great fun:) Good food, great company . . . what more can a girl ask for??
Saskatchewan is experiencing high levels of smoke and haze right now due to the fires in British Columbia, just one province over. So on the way out to BF’s house I couldn’t help but notice how the smoke in the sky had created a gigantic hazy diffusion screen for the sun, and everything was so soft and pretty looking! Then I noticed the beautiful purple clover in the field across the road from the house. The wheels began turning and I remembered my niece’s email from just a week ago . . . . .
hi aunty i wanted to know if before school you could take pics of me . . . . i have ideas
I got such a thrill from that email and I was ready to make good on it RIGHT NOW!! So when I arrived I went into the house and we said our greetings, and then I asked Marlie if she was ready for her photo shoot (by the way, Marlie had no idea I was going to photograph her tonight, and neither did I LOL:). She quickly washed her hair and I styled it for her with the blow dryer (yes, journeyman hairstylist here for all those that don’t know me:) and then we headed out.
Turns out I was right about the smoke and the clover…..have a look see for yourself!! This session took eleven minutes from start to finish! Sometimes I surprise even myself:)
My lovely niece Marlie. . . . . seems to me she grew up an awful lot after being gone for much of the summer!
Thanks for the privilege of photographing you Mar.
Auntie LOVES you!!!

Last night was one of my most fun sessions to date! I met with Tanya about a month ago to plan the session. It was clear from the get go that there would be lots of life, fun and laughter. Tanya has an energy that just lights up the room! And capturing that energy. . . . honestly effortless with beautiful subjects so full of life! LOL:) Genuine smiles and laughter make my job so much easier:) We met at a local park and set out on an adventure full of beautiful evening light and mosquito bites (why oh why can’t they suck fat instead of blood HAHA!). Tanya and Amanda have been best friends for so long they share a bond closer than many sisters, and it was my privilege to capture moments in time for them to enjoy as they look back through the years.
Thanks Tanya and Amanda for such a fun session! You are fabulous, beautiful women and a real joy to photograph:)

This week I had the awesome pleasure of photographing a family I have long loved and respected. They have been a great example to me of Christian living, and are such gentle and wonderful people! I was contacted by Natisha who had in mind a session of family images both together as a whole and as individuals. I was so excited to be working with them, little did I know we were in for an evening of adventure!!
When I arrived at the house we started out in the beautifully sculpted rock garden the Dave had constructed. I love giant rocks, and these ones were thoughtfully placed into a spectacular rock garden area!! I dream of boulders like these on my own acreage someday:)
Next we went on a wagon pulled by quad to a few other locations
Along the way there was this beautifully weathered antique truck surrounded by tall grass and foliage
Our last stop opened up a multitude of locations! A wide path leading to a hilly field with wildflowers along the entire border. I think this is about as close to heaven as you get get on the Prairies:)
Thank you all so much for inviting me to your patch of Paradise to photograph your wonderful family!
I had a great time and hope you all did too!
