Well, spring has finally sprung and here I am trying to catch up on past session postings! I’ll begin my catching up with a sneak peek of Aaron & Courtney’s Wedding!
This happy couple had such a great bunch of friends and family surrounding them on their wedding day. The family, friends and wedding party involved in the photo shoot were full of smiles and laughter during my time with them. I got the feeling that both families are very close from the comfy atmosphere they shared in the little cabin. They were a really wonderful group to work with.
The cabin was warm and welcoming, while the temperature outside was freezing! Courtney and the girls were great sports about it working for a period of time in their beautiful gowns without the warmth and comfort of their jackets. The guys got off lucky with their warm suit jackets:) There were so many great little details in and around the cabin that I utilized for the ring shots, and the natural setting was perfect for a couple that enjoys the outdoors so much.
Thank you Aaron & Courtney for inviting me to document your special day for you. You have a beautiful little family and have begun the journey of marriage together in a most elegant fashion. Your easy going manner and fun personalities make you truly one of the most memorable couples I have had the pleasure of working with!

So I finally had an opportunity to photograph my gorgeous cousin Colleen and her kids along with her brother Ryan. Such a good lookin bunch! We had a blast checking out locations and then finished off with some studio style portraits. There are so many fabulous images for me to edit through, but I wanted to post at least one image from the day.
This was my very favorite photo from the whole day:) Isn’t she beautiful??! For years she has been called my “twin” and seeing this gorgeous image makes me so very proud (not to mention flattered!) that so many people think we look so much a like! I love you guys – Colleen, Ivory, Ayden and Ryan! Thanks so much for giving me the honor of photographing you:)

Here’s a little sneak peek from one of my recent sessions:)
When Jen contacted me to photograph her children several weeks ago I was so pumped! Years ago when Jen was engaged I did her nails during the months leading up to the wedding and I grew very fond of her:) I was so happy for Ron and Jenn when they had their first little darling, and when the second one came as well!
So the day for the session arrived and I drove out to Ron and Jen’s house in the country. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day! When I pulled into the driveway Jen came outside to meet me along with her adorable daughter Miss O. Jen told me that she had been preparing O to meet me and she said “I’m gonna be shy mom.”. When I walked up to the house O was curious and watching me carefully, but it only took one question and we were fast friends. I asked her “Do you want to show me where you like to play in the yard?”
Well she lit up like a little Christmas tree and ran into the house to grab her squeaky shoes (the cutest shoes EVER!) she grabbed her jacket and we were out the door. O took me around the yard and showed me her sand hill, playground, AMAZING playhouse, and then it was time to get to business. She began filling my hands with tea pots, dishes and cups to carry out to her sand hill for her. What a button! We had so much fun talking and playing.
Little Mr. L was just up from a nap and not too sure about this strange lady he had never met before. He watched me with the eyes of a wise old soul and before I knew it he had shared a few smiles with me too! He wasn’t feeling 100%, but what a little trooper.
R&J thank you for sharing your beautiful kids with me for a few hours:) I enjoyed watching you both love on them in a way I rarely encounter. There is something extra special about the way you talk to them and hold them. You truely are exceptional parents with two very wonderful children. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! And please feel welcome to leave comments!!!
